Stat boosts for your (writing) quest
What’s your genre?
I work primarily with authors who write fantasy and sci-fi. These are broad terms! Maybe you write speculative fiction. Or epic/urban/grimdark fantasy. Perhaps you’re all about steampunk automatons in spaceships (which would make a great band name), or wizards who’d just like to summon cups of tea. If there’s magic or awesome technological advancement (or both!) in your writing, you could benefit from a Well-Tempered edit or proofread.
Not sure which service you need? Check out this blog post to help you decide.
What if you’re not a fantasy author?
We might still be a good fit, so get in touch! It’s best to find a developmental editor who specialises in your genre(s), but proofreaders often cover broader areas. Here are some of the other things I’ve proofread:
- Self-help books
- Short stories
- Blog posts
- Music theory textbooks
- A magazine
I asked Philip to ‘just look over’ a 7000-word article I had written and had worked on at different times during the past year. As an experienced editor and proofreader, I was very impressed by his spotting several detailed errors and inconsistencies. He also raised one or two insightful queries. Great job, Philip, thanks!
